TEEN TRENDS
We all know that just because it’s trendy doesn’t always mean it’s a good idea. That’s why KnoxTeenSource.com is about to tell you what’s up.
Trend Topic: LAYERING
Witten by Jasmine Thibou, Bearden High School
LAYERS!!!!! The one thing on everyone's mind about fashion is layering. Sometimes the colors don't go together, but the fabric does. So that creates a whole other wardrobe for you. There's all kinds of layering and it's not just for a certain gender, it is for everyone. Girls, guys, even adults have picked up the trend . . . and some have even taken it to the extreme.
In my opinion layering is a way for the manufacturer to make more money. The more tank tops and shirts that are sold from that store, the more profit for that company. But it doesn't bother me or my friends we love the fashion and will continue . . . at least until a new fashion comes up!!!
Now, in case you didn't already know, this section is to help you understand. . . That's NOT what's up.
THAT'S NOT HOT!
Witten by Mica Clark, Webb High School
"That's hot!," words spoken by none other than the infamous, Miss Paris Hilton. With all the recent buzz around Miss Hilton's name and her recent jail sentence, the media has responded in the most improper of improper ways to her actions. They have responded by giving her the attention that she absolutely does not need.
Miss Hilton's career has thrived off of the media's responses to her childish cries for attention. But recently her outrageous cries for attention turned into reckless abuse of her fame and fortune when Miss Hilton tried to escape a jail sentence for driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. From my perspective this jail sentence should serve as a time of reflection rather than an ordinary time in the spotlight for Paris.
Personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing about Paris' every move around the cell. I hear enough about her when she's out. The short time she will be serving should allow a break from Paris for everyone. The media's response to this situation, and situations of the sort, is ridiculous. It's not hot and should be stopped.
Paris is just another girl serving her time and she should serve it without the special treatment--just like any other person serving time in correctional facilities around the world. And furthermore driving under the influence is not hot either.
